Richardson feels like a small town in the middle of a big city. It is a community with several neighborhoods that draw children who have grown up in the area, back to raise their own families. Along with beautiful parks, community recreation centers and activities, cultural events, family festivals, tennis courts, golf courses, and hike and bike trails. The City also operates the Charles W. Eisemann Center for Performing Arts and Corporate Presentations, which is a multi-venue performing arts and presentation center.
Richardson is located in both Dallas and Collin counties and is home to the University of Texas at Dallas and the Telecom Corridor, with a high concentration of telecommunications companies. More than 5,000 businesses have operations within Richardson’s 28 square miles, including many of the world’s largest telecommunications and networking companies.
Richardson also benefits from the location of two major highways in the city. Because of its central location, it has convenient access to all other areas in DFW. Richardson also offers the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Light Rail line.
